Hana Al Tareif

Before founding Daresni, Hana Al Tareif built a career around something she cared about deeply: creating jobs and economic opportunity for the people of Bahrain. Her time at the Bahrain Economic Development Board gave her a rare and valuable perspective — she understood how economies grow, how livelihoods are built, and what it takes to connect talented people with the opportunities they deserve.

She also understood, from lived experience, what it is to be a working single mother trying to do right by her child. The demands of a career, the responsibilities of a family, and the impossibility of doing both at once without the right support around you.

When her daughter asked for help with French homework in 2018, Hana did not see a personal inconvenience. She saw a gap — a structural failure that was costing thousands of families hours they could not afford to lose, and leaving experienced educators undiscoverable despite everything they had to offer.

Daresni is not a technology product that happened to enter the education space. It is an education solution that required technology to exist. That distinction matters. Hana built Daresni the way she builds everything: starting with the human problem, not the product opportunity.

The years were not easy. Developers came and went. Code was lost. Money was spent on systems that did not survive. But the families using Daresni — parents finding the right tutor, children learning with someone who truly understood them, educators finally being discovered — gave her a reason to continue building that no setback could erase.

Today, Daresni is a rebuilt, modern platform. The early version was imperfect. The current one is better. The next one will be better still. That is the honest commitment Hana makes to every family and educator who puts their trust in what she has built.
