This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect information obtained through our website, mobile applications and related services (the “Platform”), and describes your rights under the Personal Data Protection Law No. 30 of 2018 of the Kingdom of Bahrain (the “PDPL”). Please read it together with our Terms & Conditions and Account Deletion Policy.
1. Introduction and Scope
1.1 This Privacy Policy applies to all personal data we process about Users of the Platform, including Students, Parents, Guardians, Tutors, Coaches, Institutes, and Course and Camp providers, whether located in the Kingdom of Bahrain or, for international online Services, abroad.
1.2 Capitalised terms have the meaning given in the Terms & Conditions unless defined here.
1.3 By using the Platform, you acknowledge that your personal data will be processed as described in this Policy. Where the PDPL requires consent, we will obtain it as described below.
2. Who We Are (Data Controller)
2.1 The data controller responsible for your personal data is Daresni Education and Training, CR No. 120812-1, of Unit 50, Building 2919, Road 3444, Block 934, Riffa, Kingdom of Bahrain.
2.2 A data controller is the person who determines the purposes and means of processing personal data and is responsible for complying with the PDPL. You can reach us for any privacy matter using the details in Clause 21.
3. Legal Framework
3.1 We process personal data in accordance with the PDPL and the resolutions and guidelines issued under it. Supervision and enforcement of the PDPL are carried out by the Personal Data Protection Authority (the “Authority”), whose functions are exercised under the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Waqf of the Kingdom of Bahrain.
3.2 Where we process data of individuals located outside Bahrain, or use processors located abroad, we apply the safeguards described in Clause 11.

4.7 Sensitive data
4.7.1 We do not seek to collect sensitive personal data (such as data revealing health, religious belief or similar) except where strictly necessary and permitted by the PDPL, and, where required, with your explicit consent.
5. How We Collect Information
5.1 We collect information: (a) directly from you when you register, complete a profile, make a Booking, upload documents, communicate or contact us; (b) automatically when you use the Platform, through cookies and analytics; and (c) from third parties such as payment processors and verification providers, where lawful.
6. Grounds for Processing
6.1 Under the PDPL, we process personal data only where there is a lawful basis. Depending on the activity, we rely on one or more of:
- Consent — your explicit consent, for example to certain marketing, to processing of sensitive data, or to transfers outside Bahrain, which you may withdraw at any time;
- Performance of a contract — to create your account, process Bookings and payments and deliver the Service;
- Compliance with a legal obligation — to meet tax, commercial, anti-money-laundering, safeguarding and other legal requirements;
- Legitimate purposes — to secure and improve the Platform and prevent fraud, in a manner that does not override your rights and interests.
7. How We Use Your Information
7.1 We use personal data to:
- create and manage user accounts and profiles;
- facilitate session Bookings and process secure payments, Payouts and Commission;
- verify Tutors, Coaches and Institutes through identity and document review, and manage “Certified” status;

8. Cookies and Similar Technologies
8.1 Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the Platform, remember your preferences, analyse usage and improve performance. By using the Platform you consent to our use of cookies as described here and in any cookie banner or settings we provide.
8.2 The main categories of cookies we use are:

| Performance / analytics | Help us understand how the Platform is used so we can improve it |
| Functional | Remember your preferences and settings |
| Targeting / marketing | Used, where permitted, to deliver and measure relevant communications |
8.3 You can control cookies through your browser or device settings. Disabling certain cookies may affect how the Platform functions.
9. Sharing and Disclosure of Information
9.1 We share personal data only as necessary and as described below. We do not sell your personal data.
9.2 With other Users
9.2.1 To enable Bookings, limited profile information is shared between Users and Providers, such as Provider profiles, subjects, availability, ratings and, for a confirmed Booking, the information reasonably needed to deliver the Service (for example, the name, date, time and location or online link).
9.3 With service providers (processors)
9.3.1 We share data with trusted third parties who process it on our behalf under contractual obligations of confidentiality and security, including: payment processors; cloud hosting and storage providers; communications, SMS and email providers; analytics providers; and identity-verification services.
9.4 For legal, safety and safeguarding reasons
9.4.1 We may disclose data where required by law, court order or a competent authority, to comply with the PDPL, to protect our rights or property, to prevent fraud or harm, or to safeguard the vital interests of any person, including a minor.
9.5 Business transfers
9.5.1 If Daresni is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to this Policy and applicable law.
9.6 We do not provide or sell individual data to third parties, except that we may share aggregated or anonymised data, and limited data with analysts or researchers on a lawful basis, in a manner that does not identify you.
10. Automated Decision-Making and Profiling
10.1 We may use limited automated processing to personalise search results, detect fraud and calculate Commission tiers. We do not make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects about you based solely on automated processing without a lawful basis, and you may contact us to request human review where such processing applies.
11. International Transfers of Data
11.1 Some of our service providers may be located outside the Kingdom of Bahrain. Under the PDPL, personal data is not transferred outside Bahrain without your specific consent, unless the transfer is to a country or territory approved by the Authority, or another lawful basis or authorisation applies.
11.2 Where we transfer data internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure an adequate level of protection through appropriate safeguards, such as contractual protections with the recipient.
12. Data Security
12.1 We implement reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration or destruction. Uploaded verification documents are treated as confidential, and only “Certified” or “Uncertified” status is displayed to Users.
12.2 You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential. No system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security; to that extent you use the Platform at your own risk.
12.3 Where a personal-data breach is likely to cause significant harm, we will act in accordance with the PDPL, including notifying the Authority and affected individuals where required.
13. Data Retention
13.1 We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to provide the Service, maintain business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal, tax and regulatory requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
13.2 Indicative retention periods for data retained after account closure are set out below and also appear in our Account Deletion Policy.

14. Your Rights
14.1 Subject to the conditions and exceptions in the PDPL, you have the right to:
- be informed whether we process your personal data, and to receive information about the processing;
- access your personal data and obtain a copy;
- rectify inaccurate, incomplete or outdated data;
- block or erase data where its processing breaches the PDPL or would cause you unwarranted substantial harm;
- object to direct marketing, including behavioural targeting and marketing sent by SMS or email;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing already carried out;
- data portability — to request a copy of certain data you provided; and

If you believe we have collected data from a minor without appropriate parental involvement, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
